The IE Wolfpack Baseball Program started as a travel baseball team in the Inland Empire. From the beginning Juan was the leader of the Pack. As the captain, he led his teammates on and off the field. The Wolfpack had a revolving door of players, but It was because of Juan and his best friend Jack that the Pack continued for several years, playing in countless tournaments all over Southern California and even out of state. Upon the loss of our Captain, the fate of the the Wolfpack Baseball team was uncertain. However, the Manager, Jack Thompson felt it was important to continue the mission and take the team to play in Cooperstown in Juan’s honor. And they did just that. They played hard and created countless memories. After that summer, it was time for the players to start a new journey and prepare for high school baseball. However, the Wolfpack was brought back with a new mission in mind. It was decided the team would transition into a non profit foundation in honor of Juan and provide support for local athletes to compete and gain exposure for college recruitment. One of Juan's greatest characteristics was his love for people. Although being just a child, he had the compassion, and generous heart of someone ten times his age. Through the foundation, we will be able to support local athletes achieve their baseball dreams, just as Juan would have, had he been given the chance.
